Bernd Mathieu, editor in chief of the Aachener Zeitung, asked team Einhorn to come up with a  new idea on how to incorporate topics for children and teenagers into the daily newspaper.

On December 4 2013 Karlo Clever was launched: an integrated editorial concept especially targeting children and teenagers.

There had been the Cat Karlo already as a character in a series. This character was turned into Karlo Clever who works as a new read level to the existing articles.

All questions can be addressed directly to Karlo Clever – and kids have many questions! So this new read level becomes an integral part of the daily newspaper. Not only for the kids but also for all readers.
