Two persuasive concepts in one stroke

The jury of the German Trade Press Association presented awards for two developments from the Berlin-based media workshop EINHORN SOLUTIONS at an official gala on June 5, 2013. Managing Director Anja Horn commented: “We set the next media concept as the yardstick in both projects and delivered persuasive results. A big thanks to the editorial teams for implementing far-reaching ideas in a joint process.”

DVZ Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung, Germany’s specialist newspaper for transport and logistics, was awarded the prize for specialist medium of 2013 in the category “Vehicles/transport.” The editorial team worked with EINHORN SOLUTIONS and the media expert Helmut Ortner to accomplish a fundamental relaunch for the fall of 2012. The changes went far beyond cosmetic and visual aspects: For example, the frequency at which the print version is published was changed from three to two times a week and the DVZ contents on the Website were made accessible to subscribers only.

The Ärzte Zeitung belongs to the specialist publishing group Springer Science+Business Media and is the only daily newspaper for physicians in Germany. With its new look, it was able to win in the category best mobile offering of 2013, which is awarded across all sectors, not just medical. In March 2012, EINHORN SOLUTIONS won with its pitch for the visual cross-media concept for the new app that was to be developed and for the relaunch of the print version. A challenging deadline of just over half a year was set to accomplish the project, in which – in collaboration with the editorial team in Neu-Isenburg and the technical partner Service2Media – the Ärzte Zeitung was developed “overnight” and presented in its new cross-media form to mark its 30th anniversary.
